We have extended the application process for our 2023 students to the last Thursday of the holidays. Current Year 11 and 12 students are welcome to apply.

HGHS Fiafia Night
Thursday 20 October (Week 1)
6pm - 8.30pm
Come and join us for a night of cultural performance and entertainment. Our students have been working hard all term and are excited to share their culture with all.
For health & safety reasons everyone is required to have a ticket upon entry. Pick up your free ticket from the main school office at lunchtimes only week 1. Tickets are limited and performers will be allocated tickets for family.
Venue: HGHS School Hall
There will be food trucks on site to purchase food
Congratulations
All the very best to Miracle Lagaaia and Ahnaliyah Maas who have been selected to join the Pacific Student Leaders' Programme. They will be joining 58 other young leaders from across Aotearoa, Australia, and the Cook Islands in the upcoming October school holidays in Rarotonga for an unforgettable experience.
A week of travel, culture, leadership development and new friends for life while engaging with local organisations and government agencies.
National Competitions
An enormous 'Good Luck' to our top class Basketball and Netball teams as they head off to Nationals in the holidays. We are so proud of your achievements and look forward to hearing how you get on.
Farewell Mrs Bain
Mrs Karen Bain has made the decision to resign from her position as HOD English effective from the end of Term 1 2023 and will continue to work remotely with her senior students until they have completed their examinations. Karen will then pursue her planned sabbatical in Term 1 and the school wishes Karen the best for this and her new endeavours. Ms Stefanie Williams will be acting HOD English for Term 4.

Term 4: Volleyball
A couple of reminders for the Junior Volleyball teams.
- You will have volleyball training on the first day back at school on Monday 17th October
- Your volleyball uniform will be given on Tuesday 18th October
- Your first volleyball games are on Wednesday 19th October (multiple grading games)

Term 4: Ki o rahi
A couple of reminders for the Ki o Rahi teams.
- We will have a Ki o Rahi meeting on the first week back at school to select and finalize our team(s) for Term 4. Please keep an eye on the notices
Term 4: Touch
A couple of reminders for Touch.
- We will be entering multiple touch competitions in Term 4 in preparation for Secondary School Touch Nationals. More details to follow closer to the time.
