Māori Student Council
For all students who identify as Māori; We need your voice!
Our newly established Māori student council requires the following members;- Yr 9 - 2 students
- Yr 10 - 2 students
- Yr 11 - 2 students
- Yr 12 - 2 students
You will be led by our very ambitious and committed Amorangi, Maera Tahau, and our Amokura Mahinarangi Goulton. You will become part of a group that creates opportunities, develops ideas, and positively represents our Māori student body within our Kura.
You don't necessarily need to be enrolled in the Te Reo Māori language class, however, you must be passionate about making a difference for our Māori students and whānau within our school and the wider community. If you are interested, please speak with or email your name to Whaea Evelyn (lf@hastingsgirls.com) or Ms. Jensen (js@hastingsgirls.com) by 3 pm Friday 11th February. From there, we will follow a process for selection.
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to create change and develop your leadership skills. Karawhiua!
