Week 5 Term One
HGHS Fundraiser
Juicies and Moosies will regularly be on sale at lunch times in the near future as a fundraiser for HGHS sports teams preparing to compete at upcoming sports tournaments & national competitions. Prices will be $2 Juicies & $3 Moosies. Please keep an eye on the daily school notices for when this will commence. All profit will go towards the students' sports fees as we don't want costs to be a barrier for any of our girls. The relevant sports teams will be selling these because nothing is more expensive than a missed opportunity.

University Visits
Attached is the schedule of the Initial University Visits to introduce students to the respective Whare Wananga. The visits start on Friday (Rāmere) 12 March. This year Matua Gibbons has scheduled some on Rāmere and the majority on Rāapa (Wednesday).
Year 13 students sharing rides/cars
There are currently no students on the school roll with a full drivers license. Therefore students can not transport other students to school. If during the school year, you become a fully licensed driver, please see Mr Pera to complete the process/permissions required for you to take other students to school. If you have special permission from the Ministry of Transport to transport your siblings on a restricted license, please bring that to Mr Pera for our records.
Drop-off and Pick-up Zones
We are very concerned about the safety of our students, staff and young children at the neighbouring kindy due to the amount of cars travelling in and out of our carparks, and the speed at which they are travelling. Please note that visitor and staff carparks are off limits for pick-ups and drop-offs and that the bus bay needs to be kept clear. For this reason, as of Monday 22 February, we will be chaining off the main entrance to the school carpark between 2.30pm - 3.30pm each day.
