I’ve recently had the amazing opportunity of attending the Outward Bound Leadership Course. During my 21 days at Anakiwa I was able to complete tasks that were not only physically demanding, but also mentally challenging.
I had such an awesome experience learning and developing different leadership styles and ways to apply them. I was also fortunate enough to meet some incredible people and build lifelong memories and friendships. Being 1 of 2 year 12’s in my watch, I was lucky enough to be surrounded school leaders from all around New Zealand.
Being exposed to an environment that pushed me out of my comfort zone helped me to understand my capabilities and my full potential. I truly came to know that I am more capable than I thought when trying and challenging situations arise.
I definitely urge anyone that has the desire, to apply for Outward Bound.
