We spent four days away in Rotorua, partaking in a number of different activities, and learning about a lot of different things that relate to Tourism and Geography, Safety and Risk Management, and Leadership in the Outdoors.
The girls identified hazards related to people, environment and equipment throughout the trip, and also experienced a number of different leadership styles.
We spent time with the Rotorua museum people, and learnt about how tourism began in New Zealand, and how it was adapted after a natural disaster.
We had a fantastic time, and the girls got experience new things. Can’t wait to see what we get up to next year.
