Kia Ora Whanau
Our relationship with the families and whanau of our girls is really important to us as a staff and central to the success of your daughter at HGHS. As we come to the end of Term 1 we would like to invite whanau to take up an opportunity to meet with their daughter’s Akina coach.
Our Whanau Day is on Wednesday 10th April from 1.30-7.00pm. Akina Coaches, Deans and the Careers Advisor are available during that time for whanau and their daughters to drop in at a suitable point to discuss their daughter’s hauora, learning goals and involvement in school life, and pass on information it is useful for teachers to be aware of. This is a time for us to listen and work
together with families. Please feel free to bring younger siblings if it means you can be here.
There will also be an opportunity for you to meet with the Board of Trustees.
School will finish at 12.30 that day for students who may then go home. There will be arrangements for those who need to stay at school to be supervised.
We look forward to meeting you on this day. Your daughter will know where to bring you and tea and coffee will be served throughout the afternoon/evening.
