The following girls have been selected for the Ikaroa ki te Raki Māori Netball team.
U13 - Kapone Richardson-Box
U15 - Monique Poa, Kyra Collier, Matariki Rolleston, Tehya Andrew
The teams will compete at the 2019 Aotearoa Māori Netball Oranga Healthy Lifestyles National Tournament from 19th - 21st April in Invercargill. Teams from 11 regions will vie for supremacy across all age grades up to Premier Womens.
Ikaroa ki te Raki is a region representing Hawke’s Bay, Tararua, Manawatu, Rangitikei and Horowhenua, so it’s a significant achievement to be selected for these teams. Trainings are held in Palmerston North every weekend, so this requires a huge commitment by these girls.
