Reminder - Junior Prizegiving
We are excited to invite parents and students to our Junior Prizegiving, celebrating the achievements of our Year 9 and 10 ākonga.
Date: Thursday 12 December
Time: 11:00am – 12:30pm
Venue: School Hall
Dress Code: Students to come in tidy school uniform
Following the Prizegiving, students will be dismissed and are expected to go home.
We look forward to seeing you there to celebrate this special occasion!
Important Reminder for Year 13 Students
Well done on all your hard work, Year 13s! Before you head off into the wider world, please take a moment to ensure you’ve saved anything you want to keep from your school profile, including data from Google Drive, Google Classroom, and MS Teams.
It’s also important to update your NZQA profile by changing the preferred email address to your personal email address as soon as possible. Your school profile will be deleted 90 days after your leaving date, so don’t delay!

Exploring Taupō: A Journey Through Nature & Energy
Last week was the final trip for Exploring the Great Outdoors Hubs to Taupō! We explored the stunning differences between the bays of Lake Taupō and checked out the thermal spots along the Waikato River. We also learned how energy is produced from these natural wonders
Progress in the Making: Our Outdoors Hub at
Te Mata Peak!
Our Outdoors Hub spent an awesome morning up at Te Mata Peak! They spent the day hand-releasing (weeding around) the trees we planted last term. So cool to see how much progress they've made in such a short time!
Volleyball Champions
A huge congratulations to both the Hastings Girls Junior A and Junior B teams for their outstanding victories in their Finals.
The Junior A team is now the Hawke's Bay Division 1 Champions, having triumphed over Napier Girls in a thrilling final! What an incredible display of talent and determination from all of you!
The Junior B team also secured an impressive win, beating Napier Girls to claim their division title as well! Two amazing victories and both teams should be so proud of their hard work and dedication.
What a fantastic achievement for Hastings Girls Volleyball—double champions!
