Junior Prize Giving
Date: Thursday 7 December
Time: 11am
Location: HGHS Hall
Prize winners and whānau have been emailed. It is important that all winners attend the rehearsal on Wednesday 6 December in Block 3.
The school day will end straight after Prize giving. The Flaxmere Bus will run at 12.30pm and all other buses at normal times.
Heal Hub Whenua Trip
On Tuesday, the Maintaining Healthy Communities Hub went on their "connection to the whenua" trip. They started in Hastings by observing the Ngaruroro River at Chesterhope Bridge then made their way to Kuripapango and Blowhard Bush in Kaweka Forest Park. Changes to the awa and whenua as a result of extreme weather and forestry were observed which stimulated conversations about sustainability.
Important lessons in teamwork, communication and kaitiakitanga were definitely learnt along the way. Overall, the students have a newfound respect and appreciation for the beauty and power of te taiao and its ability to heal their wairua.
Condors Tournament
Good Luck to our 7s Rugby side who are competing in the Condors U16 Tournament on Sunday 3 December in Mt Maunganui.
