Term Three Week 4
Benchmark Exam Study Spaces
In Week 6 during Benchmark Exams students are expected to be at school all week. We ask that all students in Year 11, 12 or 13 please complete the form below to choose which space they would prefer to study in when they are not writing an exam. Students must be at school, even when you do not have an exam scheduled. We will do our best to ensure that specialist teachers are in these spaces to help you with your mahi.

Level 1 PE
The Level 1 PE classes spent three days at the Guthrie Smith Education Centre last week. The focus was on interpersonal skills and how these were displayed in a variety of challenging team activities. We also spent a morning volunteering in the Arboretum helping with the clean-up after Cyclone Gabrielle. An awesome few days with some awesome students.
Great Outdoors Hub Trip
This week our Exploring the Great Outdoors Hubs combined to spent four days at Mangatepopo Camp, in the Tongariro National Park. The focus of the trip was to explore the alpine region, examining the different ecosystems, learn how to survive in the different weather extremes and do the different activities that were available in that area. They had heaps of fun and learnt a lot. They had amazing weather for tramping, swimming, sledding, snow fighting and building awesome relationships.
Pasifika 'One Ocean Collective' University Evening
The One Ocean Collective (OOC) is a network made up of the eight universities in Aotearoa. We are carrying out a cross-collaboration project funded by the Ministry of Education in Hawke's Bay.
Four universities of the OCC: Lincoln University, Victoria University of Wellington, Massey University and University of Auckland are hosting the Hawke's Bay Pasifika Tertiary Family Evening. We are excited to provide a space to talanoa about tertiary education options and also inform our Pasifika people of the wonderful opportunities.
There are spot prizes to give away in the evening and also dinner is provided. Come along and spread the word to everyone!
